Here is a perfect mentalist book test. Any word in the entire book is selected only to have you guess it correct.

Effect: Select a book and have a member from the audience flip through it. Any page is stopped at. They select whatever word on that page they want and remember it, then the book is snapped shut. While you turn away the thought of word is written down on a piece of paper, the paper is rolled up into a ball. Now comes the amazing part. You now name out loud the chosen word!! They will never guess how it is done. They will think you have real mind reading powers. You do not have to ask them questions or choose only certain words on the page. It is very simple, they choose any word any page and you guess the word.

Can be performed with a different book each and every time if you wish and ALWAYS a different word.
