Returning Coins – Chinese Style

Returning Coins Effect: 2 Elegant shiny Chinese coins are shown to the audience. One is red and one is black. Take the red coin away and place into your pocket or case. This should leave only 1 in your hand but the magician opens his hand to show the coin has returned to the hand. Repeat and take away the black coin. This once again should leave only the red one in your hand but to the astonishment of the spectators the black coin has now returned. Repeat this several times only to have the coin reappear magically. On the final time you take away one of them. By now they are accustomed to the repetition of it returning to the hand. However, this time show that the other coin has disappeared leaving no trace of either coin. It was all an illusion!

Use your imagination for different patter to say as you do the routine. Example: Magician talks about travelling to a mysterious market in China where each time he spent one of the coins he would open his hand to magically have it reappear. But just when he thought he could spend forever and be greedy both coins dematerialize into thin air.
