Morgan Dissolve Coin Trick

Here is a very easy to do visual coin changing effect. Display a silver Morgan dollar and a brass Chinese coin on both sides. Close your hand on the coins. Remove just the one silver coin leaving the Chinese coin closed tightly in your hand. The magician very openly displays the silver coin on top of the hand and covers it just for an instant. In that split second it dissolves into the Chinese coin. The silver coin has traded places with the Chinese coin that was held tightly in the hand.

Or use audience participation. Use a spectators hand and place both coins inside. Remove just the silver coin. They hold in their closed hand the Chinese coin. Very cleanly the Morgan dollar dissolves into the brass coin. They are amazed when they open their hand to see that they now hold the silver coin. Originally published by magician Steve Dusheck.
