Magic with everyday card decks. Card magic is one of the most popular types of magic in the world.
Some magicians become masters of only card tricks. Well with a little practice you can master some easy to learn tricks from Dreamlandmagic.
A lot of card tricks involve finding a persons selected card in the deck.


1. Using a Key card.
 
1.Have an audience member shuffle the card deck. When you get the cards back, secretly glimpse the bottom card. In this example we will use the 6 of clubs. This card will be your "key card"
2. Have the spectator  cut the cards into four piles. Ask him to choose a pile, then look at the top card from that pile, and replace the card in the same spot. Take the pile that has the "key card" and place it on top of the selected card. Now place the rest of the card piles on top of this one.
3. You can cut the cards many times. No need to worry about the 2 cards separating. Now you can turn over the card deck and run through all the cards until you spot the "key card" (6 of clubs). The card next to it will be their selected card.
Tip: This is an easy card trick to master. Just practice not letting it be obvious when you secretly glimpse the bottom card of the deck in the beginning.

2. Key Card Deluxe
If you do not want to look at the faces of the cards in the above trick, you can mark the back of one of the cards. Just put a small mark with a pen or pencil on the lower left corner and upper right corner. Make them small enough that you can see them but your audience cannot. You can use the marked card in a card deck just the same way as you used the regular "key card."

3.Card Deck -Magical Touch
Take 6 cards out of the deck and memorize what they are. After you memorize them, place them in your pocket.
Hand a card deck to a spectator and have them shuffle the cards. Take the card deck and place it in your pocket in top of the memorized 6 cards. Slowly and magically remove the cards one by one naming each card as you pull it out of your pocket.
Tips. You can even be blind folded and this will add to the effect. Play it up as your removing the cards from your pocket. Its all about acting and making it look like magic.

4. Classic 25 Card Trick
Lay out 25 cards, 5 piles each with 5 cards. Have somone think of a playing card and ask them which pile it is in. Gather up all the cards, making sure that the pile that contains the chosen card is in the middle. Lay out all the cards again and ask which pile contains the selected card.. Gather up all the cards again with the pile containg the selected card being placed in the middle. The selected card is always going to be the 13th card from the top. Great little easy card trick to learn using mathematics.

5. Creating a Short Key Card.
By cutting 1/64 of an inch off of a playing card, it will be just slightly shorter than the rest of the cards.Now if you riffle the cards with your thumb at the end of the card deck, this card will be felt really easy. So now with practice you can cut the cards and you will be able to cut this card to the top or bottom of the deck. So you can created a "key card" that you can feel to control someone card.

Practice these tricks and remember do not tell the secret. Once your audience knows the secret they will not be mystified.
